Elaine currently leads the establishment of Safaricom’s ad hoc Fixed Business Unit as the Project Lead, Elaine is an established technology executive in the fixed broadband space in Kenya with over 12 years experience over which period she has grown from hands-on engineering responsibilities to senior leadership. She is heading a network plan-design-build-maintain-operate function within Safaricom PLC Technology, Fixed Network Solutions, mandated with end to end delivery of Fixed broadband connectivity through both Fiber Optic (FTTx) and Fixed Wireless Access technologies (Fixed 4G, F5G, Public wifi) overseeing Fixed access, transport and core network. Elaine is leading Safaricom’s mission to scale fixed broadband solutions through coverage acceleration, low cost FBB in tier3 markets and experience differentiation.

She brings a wealth of experience in Fixed technology strategy, evolving autonomous networks, cost optimization, P&L management, network plan, design & build, establishment and governance partnerships, last mile services and digital operations with complementary commercial acumen. She drives business growth and transformation through network engineering, speed to market, cost leadership and operational excellence. Elaine oversees an ecosystem of 144 engineers, 25 vendors and 1.2K field technicians.
