Vimalkumar Kothandaraman (Vimal) is the Vice President and Head of Fixed Networks Business Centre for Network Infrastructure Business Group in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region at Nokia.

In his current role, Vimal is responsible for Fixed Networks business in the APAC region.

Vimal has previously held several leadership positions for Fixed Networks as Head of India, Head of Japan and Head of APAC pre-sales contributing to P&L accountability, business development, solutions, technical pre-sales, bids, commercial & program delivery management. Prior to this Vimal has worked in product management and R&D of fixed broadband products & solutions.

Vimal has more than 27 years’ experience in telecom domain with breadth and depth of knowledge on market drivers, business models of fixed broadband connectivity solutions. He has worked with several service providers, infrastructure hosts, enterprises and operators in the APAC region to develop short-term and long-term strategies in access connectivity.

Vimal has a bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering and an Executive certification in Business Management.

Vimal is currently based out of Melbourne, Australia.
