Vimalkumar Kothandaraman (Vimal) is Vice President and Head of the Broadband Devices Business Unit within Fixed Networks. He leads the global business responsible for delivering advanced broadband connectivity solutions for telecommunications operators, mission-critical enterprises, and data centers. His portfolio encompasses fiber termination devices (ONTs), residential gateways, Wi-Fi solutions, and Corteca™, a cloud-based platform that enables AI-driven operations and enhanced broadband experiences.

With nearly three decades of experience in the telecommunications industry, Vimal has built a distinguished career spanning business leadership, product management, research and development, solution strategy, and commercial operations. He possesses deep expertise in fixed broadband technologies, market evolution, and service provider business models, enabling him to successfully bridge technology innovation with business growth.

Throughout his career, Vimal has held several senior leadership roles across global and regional markets, including Business Head for Asia Pacific, Head of India, Head of Japan, and Head of APAC Pre-Sales. In these positions, he has driven business growth and profitability while leading business development, technical sales, bid management, commercial operations, and large-scale program delivery initiatives.

Vimal has a strong track record of building and scaling product businesses from concept to commercialization. His experience spans the entire product and business lifecycle, from strategy, development, and market introduction to deployment and customer success. He has been instrumental in bringing innovative broadband solutions to market and strengthening competitive positioning through customer-focused product and portfolio leadership.
